Sansakroma

Our fifth graders have been learning Sansakroma this week! This song is from Ghana, Africa. First, we learned how to speak the Ghanaian words, then we added both the micro and macro beats into our movements. Now we get to learn the game that goes along with the song! We pass and tap sticks while sitting in a circle to the beat....but be careful you don't get the wrong color! Take a look at all
we learned!

Welcome 2016-2017

We are so excited to start off the 2016-2017 year! Please take a look at our concert dates and mark them in your calendar! We have loved seeing all the kids after a long summer and we are already having fun singing in dancing in class! We have reviewed Folk dances such as Sasha and Chimes of Dunkirk and started learning songs like Sansakroma, Weevily Wheat and the Telephone song! Our first graders love singing Little Mice, and hearing our song book The Crabfish! Please email us if we can be of any extra help to your student!
